Hehe.. this is a bit overdue, hey? So this site is sort of... dead. Just sort of sizzled out. For our affiliates: Feel free to remove our banner or affi our new site. For our members: I hope to see you on the new site. It's called Demon in my View. Yeah, I linked back on our affis and adverts with the whole "DiMV; A Feline RPG". It's a feline roleplay. Unlike this roleplay which is fantasy and demons, this is a relatively real roleplay revolving more about them worshiping gods and sinning, so God punishes them with the second plague.

We are now open! With a bit of work and alot of help (-cough-thankyouspyder-cough-) The Sacrifice is now ready for members. All we need to do now is get the members here. Again, thanks for the help Spyder. I'm not sure how I would have done this without you =D

I'm officially re-making the site. Right Mistake is no more. From now on we are now known as The Sacrifice. Most of the site will stay the same, just a little bit of altering. Instead of cats, it's a dog roleplay. I would like to officially thank Spyder for making our beautiful banner and mini-banner. (Spyder recieves +10 karma)
»Plot«

I edged across the dark alley, unsure of what lied ahead of my own paws. The moon hid behind dark, heavy sheets of cloud. Not one human or rat seemed to wander the streets that night. I shivered at the thought of where they had disappeared. Without a sound, I rounded the corner. I tensed as I saw a pair of feet before me. I looked up into the eyes of a large man. I knew what was to await me.

It was so many years ago when the experiments began. It was a time when science was most important; a time when we had lost all traces of our humanity. Animals of all sorts were captured, the majority of experiments performed on the canines. We wanted to create a master race of animals, with everyone’s reasons differing. Some wanted larger pets, others wanted more food and others just wanted to fool around, but no one wanted what was to come...

I shriveled in fear as masked people, at least six, gathered around me to hold me down. One of the taller men pulled a needle full of liquid from his blood-covered white lab coat. I let out a yowl, jerking and kicking to try to escape the grasp of those hands. But my attempts fell short as I departed into unconsciousness. I wouldn’t wake up the same…

We had created something no one thought possible. These creatures we once called animals changed before our very eyes. No one knew what to expect when they looked into the cages next. It was soon that no one dared to feed the mongrels, afraid to dare look into those hypnotizing eyes. These dogs were like demons, and our torturing only made them angry.

I barked furiously at the gates of this cell along side the bodies of both the dead and living. I didn’t feel like myself anymore. All I wanted, all I felt was blood and rage. I could smell the hot blood flowing through the veins of the masked people, the only thing holding me back was the metal bars that imprisoned us. When one of our own had fallen, we feasted on their remains. I licked over my chewed lips at the sudden smell of approaching humans. Something was about to happen.

We had no other choice. The animals had become a serious threat. There was no way the jail cells could hold them any longer. One by one, we killed them off with an illegal substance called DDT. The government had banned it because of the harm it did to large creatures, when it’s only purpose was to kill bugs. It seemed to work, and after it was clear they were dead, we would drag their bodies into a pit in the back. We avoided the dogs until we felt strongest.

I sat and stared as a single scientist opened the door, not daring to glance our way. He was smart... but not smart enough. Without hesitation, the dogs around me brushed past, galloping towards him like horses. I got to my paws as the last of the dogs ran past. I narrowed my eyes in a smirk as the screams of scientists reached my awaiting ears. It was time that the hell hounds got payback.

There was nothing we could do but scream and cry. The dogs had gotten loose, and in their anger, they attacked us. Blood layered the floors and streaked the windows. Anyone caught by one of the ‘hell hounds’ was dead within moments. They torn the skin straight from our figures, and ate our insides until we bled dry. No one could escape, and any cries for help were muffled by the sounds of the factory working. As they ran through a broken-down door, they left behind dozens of corpses. The hell hounds were loose in the city, and they couldn’t be stopped. They fed on any living thing, and didn’t stop. An evacuation was ordered by the police, and soon Coal Creek had gone to the dogs...

But the Packs aren’t as alone as they thought. Allegiances are making their stand in Coal Creek, and they aren’t about to back down. Both need territory, but who will take it? Mean while, the entire human world is coming to World War Three. Bombing, shooting, and killing everywhere, little by little parts of Coal Creek are going up in smoke.

“With their bombs and their guns,
With their paws and their teeth,
Coal Creek will never be the same...”

A shadowed figure loomed over the playground. A crow with an unusually slow heart beat watched for something. Those black, beady eyes flickered around like marbles, darting in all directions. A sudden movement in the bushes, and a cat came stalking out. A small mouse dangled from it's jaws, limp as the life seeped out of it. The cat devoured the small pest in a few short moments. The thing was, the mouse wasn't the only thing about to be devoured. The cat looked up at the crow with hungry eyes, expecting the crow to be it's next meal. Before it could take a step forward, the crow flew off into the trees at the edge of the playground...

I weaved through the trees, my mouth watering already. I wanted to turn to my normal form now, but I couldn't. I was still in sight of that mangy cat, and outside of the allegiances, no one must know of our powers. If that cat got away... I cringed at the thought, almost flying into a tree.

I glanced behind me, back to wear I had come. A few more seconds, and th cat disappeared behind a wall of brown and green. I slowed myself, going in to land down in a clearing. As I neared the ground, my form quickly changed. My feathery black attire changed to black and brown fur. My tail shrunk to a stump and ears sprung out the top of my head. My wings and small feet changed to four strong legs. My beak grew out until it was a muzzle. In a split second I had changed from crow to full-grown dog with a second to spare. My four paws hit the ground with a light thud.

I raised my head, looking up at the tree tops that towered above my head. The sky was far off, not even the slightest bit visable through the leafy canope. I could smell rain approatching, even though I couldn't see it. My mind suddenly snapped back to my goal as my stomach growled in pain. I needed food, and that cat was what would satisfy me. Quick as my legs would allow, I ran through the trees, careful not to trip on the tangled tree roots. I felt sick running this fast, but I needed food.

I finally got to the fense, my run now slowing into a stalk. I crouched in a bush near the opening of the fense on the oppisite side of the playground. I could see the cat crawling and weaving through a few giant rubber tires burried half way in the ground. Without a moment's delay, I slipped into the grounds.

*****

I slowly ran claws through the brown fur of the deceased cat. I licked my blood-drenched teeth at the smell of the meal laying before me. The cat put up a pitiful battle against a dog of my strength and power. It may have stood a chance, if it was against a puny normal dog.

I smiled and dug my fangs into the meaty, juicy body of the cat. I closed my eyes for a second to enjoy the taste of food. And yet, I didn't feel it. I grumbled, now angry at my stubborn girly stomach.

I shifted from side to side as I looked at the limp cat before my brown paws. What do I do with this? I grumbled silently to myself, deep in thought. It wasn't that I killed the cat for no reason. Hell, if I felt bad about doing that it'd be a full-time sickness of it's own. It was more of, should I leave a dead cat here so those demon packs could have food? In the allegiances we never gathered food for our group. It was a gather-it-for-yourself-or-die type thing. There were the families in the allegiances, which meant that while the mother cared for the pups the male would hunt them food, but the father rarely found enough to support them all.

I gave a loud snort. "Well, ain't this the loveliest little sh*t I've gotten into?" I huffed.

Man of Flight

He slapped down a big clawed paw over the terrified mouse, unsheathed claws more like cage bars. The bobcat frowned and lifted the paw slighty, so the rodent could race away. 'Too skinny.' he told himself, although he knew that wasn't the reason. He narrowed his eyes in exasperation at himself. "I am such an idiot," he growled lightly, before shrugging and stretching his muscles, tired - from doing nothing at all for the past hours! He glared at a tree in front of him, as if it was it's fault. "It's your fault..." he grumbled to the tree. He flicked his left ear and snorted. "I dunno why... but..." He stopped short when he heard a light flapping. The sound of feathers against air.

Janus perked his ears. Then he grinned and ran through the forest, on silent cat paws. In the corner of his eye, he saw a silky black feather floating to earth. Janus leapt and caught it inbetween his teeth, breathing in the scent deeply before spitting it out, with a disgusted look. "Ugh, gross... but I'd know that scent anywere." he grinned at his genius. Then, with a rumbling purr, his short course fur grew longer, and Janus himself grew bigger. His colors changed from dusty spotted brown, to onyx black and ginger-brown. His muzzle grew longer, as did his tail. Once in full German Sheperd form, Janus sighed contentedly, loving his abilities. Then he shook his fur, and turned on a paw, tracking down the "raven".

Finally catching sight of the fence, he tensed, lowering his head has he bounded toward it at full speed. Then, about a three yards from it, he leapt up high, nearly reaching the top, but not quite. With a smirk, he quickly transformed once again. With a flash of dark, he flew over the fence, with quiet ruffle of feathers.

His most loved form, the Golden Eagle. Janus hovered for a few seconds, before discovering his target. Chuckling inwardly, the young Learner plummeted, landing gracefully near the large dog, and the body of the slaughtered cat. 'Let's see if he recognizes me,' he thought playfully, while ruffling his feathers at the dog and spreading his wings, in a curious fasion.

It's only a reflection..

I tilted my head towards the sky, looking into the deep gray clouds that roared with anger as they drew closer. For brief moments, their mighty power would strike against the earth, punishing the foolish. And that's what those bitches get for running around with poles in their hand. All because they didn't get a rain jacket. I thought roughly.

It wasn't long until clear liquid would cry from a black shadow, sending cool surface down my spine. I could smell it coming, and the eerie feeling of the storm approtching sent a bit of discomfort through my body, making my head twitch to the side.

As my gaze shot to the fense where I came from, I noticed a small light-brown-and-black figure leap over the fense, only to change into an eagle. At first I tensed, unsure of who it was, and from what allegiance, but then I caught the familiar scent of Soberia. I smirked, realizing what pup it was.

As the eagle landed next to me, I just glanced over. I didn't move my head, I didn't move my body. My eyes didn't flicker or faulter, just a containe steady stare from the corner of my eye to the optics of the eagle. I blinked slowly, looking towards the rumbling cloud almost directly overhead. "You know, Janus, if you really want to try to fool me of your identity, try working on what you smell like first. You reak of Soberia, not to mention half-rotten corpse." I chuckled, turning my sharp, sarcastic eyes towards the learner.

..until it starts moving differently

The golden eagle narrowed his eyes and flapped his wings, making huffs of air rush into the dogs face. 'I love being a sore loser.' he thought as he changed forms once again. When in his dog form, he staggered. 'Woah... I'm getting tired from changing so much." Janus froze and waited for the dizziness to wash away. Then he shook his head and gazed at his clan mate with a straight face. "I dunno what you're talking about you old coot..." he mumbled.

His face caved, and he gave a loud bark of laughter. He closed one eye, and gazed cheerfully at Replica with the other, smiling big. "And shut up, I smell like daisies." he joked. Then he began thinking, and craned his head, taking a big whiff of his coat. Janus recoiled, staring wide eyed at his body, his nose crinkling in disgust. "Oh Gods, I do reak!" He cried out in horror. Then he gazed back at Replica. "Oh no! How will I woo that cute dog I had my eyes on!? SMELLING LIKE A DIRTY RAT!!!!"

Janus collapsed, feigning distress. "My world has come to an end! How shall I make puppies!?" He was yelling out loudly, trying his hardest to make his clan mate laugh. 'chuckling is for cranky elders!' his mind screamed to him. Janus suddenly looked up, and a drop of water hit his eye.

The young dog gasped and leapt to his paws, his eyes shooting back in forth, and resting on the red tube, before he fled for it, taking only moments to reach it. "I'M MELTING!" Poor dear Janus hated the rain. Janus poked his muzzle out of hiding, staring wide eyed at the gray clouds. Since his coat was long and thick, it took forever for it to dry, and he usually got sick by the time it did. "DAMMIT! da.mn YOU CLOUDS!" He snarled angrily up at the sky. 'wow... I have a strange habit of taliking to inanimate objects...' he thought, huffing in exasperation. "I have problems, he told himself, sighing.

I closed my eyes, turning my face towards the wind. I loved how it wooshed in my ears, a sound you couldn't hear turned away from the wind. The wind played with my fur, making it turn in different directions, as free as unsettled dirt in a dust devil. It weaved it's way to the skin lying beneath my now-long coat. My winter coat is stubborn to shed. Oh joy. I thought to myself as I remembered the great feeling of a summer coat.

"Woah... I'm getting tired from changing so much." My fellow faction member announced. I turned my gaze back to him once more. "You need to go back to training, you fool. Even the newest of learners know how to keep their head straight when transforming." I shot, smirking at his young problem. "And maybe before you call me an 'old coot' you should take note that I'm just under four years." I resorted, a small huffed laugh in my voice.

"And shut up, I small like daisies." He barked. I snorted. "Dead daisies." I smiled sarcastically. I watched as he arched his neck and burried his muzzle into his chest. "Oh gods, I do reak!" He shreaked. Oh no! How will I woo that cute dog I had my eyes on!? SMELLING LIKE A DIRT RAT!!!! My world has come to an end! How shall I make puppies!?" I gave a small laugh, amused by his dramatic acting skills.

I twitched as I felt a drop of rain hit my back. The late spring rain was always cold, but I never seemed to get used to it. I watched as a drop landed in Janus' eye, making him shreak. He leaped to his paws and ran for a red tube. "I'M MELTING!" He yowled. He poked his muzzle out to look at the clouds now settling over head. "DAMNIT! DAMN YOU CLOUDS!" I raised an eyebrow, then figured it out as I looked at his long coat. Surely it'd be uncomfortable to get such a long coat wet. It'd take nearly a week to dry out entirely. A shivver creeped down my spine as I thought of what it'd be like to sleep with a heavy wet coat. Not fun.

I heard a sigh and looked back at Janus. "I have problems." He huffed. I gave a light chuckle. "Thank the gods! I'm sure every Soberian thought you'd gone crazy. I began to wonder if you thought that was natural!" I exclaimed with a laugh. I walked over and sat next to the red tube the young learner had taken shelter in. "I can see your really getting the hang of the 'fear nothing' concept of the allegiances." I laughed sarcastically.

"You need to go back to training, you fool. Even the newest of learners know how to keep their head straight when transforming." The young dog couldn’t help wincing at that. He didn’t want to admit it, but it stung. ‘Not like I was even raised for it…’ he thought solemnly. Janus was born outside of the Allegiance, with hardly any knowledge of his parents, and none that he would ever share with his clan mates. Janus shrugged it off, though, Catching Replica’s joking remarks about his sanity. "Thank the gods! I'm sure every Soberian thought you'd gone crazy. I began to wonder if you thought that was natural!" The young dog laughed loudly.

After he calmed, he gazed at Replica with a jokingly evil grin. “Well, well! Mr. Serious-Face knows how to crack a laugh outta someone.” He raised his head with a smirk. “I’m proud!” Then he blinked and gasped. “Do they really think I’m strange?” he whispered frantically, as if it was extremely urgent. ‘How can they not?’ he told himself.

"I can see your really getting the hang of the 'fear nothing' concept of the allegiances." Janus scowled at this however. “And you know, I have a right to be terrified of rain!” He lashed his tail at the older dog as he twirled in a circle where he stood inside the tube, hoping his fluffy banner hit Replica in the face. “My fur is so flippin long! I could catch a deadly sickness again!” Janus recalled the time when he had recently joined the clan. He had caught a dangerous cold training his transformation powers with another learner in the rain. That had kept him with the healer for a painful week. Janus shuddered at the memory. “Herbs taste horrible you know…” he muttered indignantly, deciding to never eat those bitter weeds for the rest of his life.

Janus looked up at the sky, his eyes half-lidded. The rain hit the ground, the sound reminding him of tiny claws clicking on solid surface, or leaves fluttering noisily in the wind. But those sights were more comforting. The sight of the rain falling made him sad. “It seems like the sky is crying… as if it’s sad…” he said softly, subconsciously. “I wonder why the sky would cry…”
