Hehe.. this is a bit overdue, hey? So this site is sort of... dead. Just sort of sizzled out. For our affiliates: Feel free to remove our banner or affi our new site. For our members: I hope to see you on the new site. It's called Demon in my View. Yeah, I linked back on our affis and adverts with the whole "DiMV; A Feline RPG". It's a feline roleplay. Unlike this roleplay which is fantasy and demons, this is a relatively real roleplay revolving more about them worshiping gods and sinning, so God punishes them with the second plague.

We are now open! With a bit of work and alot of help (-cough-thankyouspyder-cough-) The Sacrifice is now ready for members. All we need to do now is get the members here. Again, thanks for the help Spyder. I'm not sure how I would have done this without you =D

I'm officially re-making the site. Right Mistake is no more. From now on we are now known as The Sacrifice. Most of the site will stay the same, just a little bit of altering. Instead of cats, it's a dog roleplay. I would like to officially thank Spyder for making our beautiful banner and mini-banner. (Spyder recieves +10 karma)
»Plot«

I edged across the dark alley, unsure of what lied ahead of my own paws. The moon hid behind dark, heavy sheets of cloud. Not one human or rat seemed to wander the streets that night. I shivered at the thought of where they had disappeared. Without a sound, I rounded the corner. I tensed as I saw a pair of feet before me. I looked up into the eyes of a large man. I knew what was to await me.

It was so many years ago when the experiments began. It was a time when science was most important; a time when we had lost all traces of our humanity. Animals of all sorts were captured, the majority of experiments performed on the canines. We wanted to create a master race of animals, with everyone’s reasons differing. Some wanted larger pets, others wanted more food and others just wanted to fool around, but no one wanted what was to come...

I shriveled in fear as masked people, at least six, gathered around me to hold me down. One of the taller men pulled a needle full of liquid from his blood-covered white lab coat. I let out a yowl, jerking and kicking to try to escape the grasp of those hands. But my attempts fell short as I departed into unconsciousness. I wouldn’t wake up the same…

We had created something no one thought possible. These creatures we once called animals changed before our very eyes. No one knew what to expect when they looked into the cages next. It was soon that no one dared to feed the mongrels, afraid to dare look into those hypnotizing eyes. These dogs were like demons, and our torturing only made them angry.

I barked furiously at the gates of this cell along side the bodies of both the dead and living. I didn’t feel like myself anymore. All I wanted, all I felt was blood and rage. I could smell the hot blood flowing through the veins of the masked people, the only thing holding me back was the metal bars that imprisoned us. When one of our own had fallen, we feasted on their remains. I licked over my chewed lips at the sudden smell of approaching humans. Something was about to happen.

We had no other choice. The animals had become a serious threat. There was no way the jail cells could hold them any longer. One by one, we killed them off with an illegal substance called DDT. The government had banned it because of the harm it did to large creatures, when it’s only purpose was to kill bugs. It seemed to work, and after it was clear they were dead, we would drag their bodies into a pit in the back. We avoided the dogs until we felt strongest.

I sat and stared as a single scientist opened the door, not daring to glance our way. He was smart... but not smart enough. Without hesitation, the dogs around me brushed past, galloping towards him like horses. I got to my paws as the last of the dogs ran past. I narrowed my eyes in a smirk as the screams of scientists reached my awaiting ears. It was time that the hell hounds got payback.

There was nothing we could do but scream and cry. The dogs had gotten loose, and in their anger, they attacked us. Blood layered the floors and streaked the windows. Anyone caught by one of the ‘hell hounds’ was dead within moments. They torn the skin straight from our figures, and ate our insides until we bled dry. No one could escape, and any cries for help were muffled by the sounds of the factory working. As they ran through a broken-down door, they left behind dozens of corpses. The hell hounds were loose in the city, and they couldn’t be stopped. They fed on any living thing, and didn’t stop. An evacuation was ordered by the police, and soon Coal Creek had gone to the dogs...

But the Packs aren’t as alone as they thought. Allegiances are making their stand in Coal Creek, and they aren’t about to back down. Both need territory, but who will take it? Mean while, the entire human world is coming to World War Three. Bombing, shooting, and killing everywhere, little by little parts of Coal Creek are going up in smoke.

“With their bombs and their guns,
With their paws and their teeth,
Coal Creek will never be the same...”

ARROW>head

Little black eyes twinkled as the moon reflected off of them. Short brown fur ruffled in the breeze and the long tail wagged back and forth, like it could go on wagging forever. Usually dwarf mongoose didn't wag their tails so continually....maybe because it wasn't a normal mongoose...It now bared it's teeth and sniffed the air hungrily. It had just woken up from a nap, and now it was hungry. it's tail stopped moving and it silently creped through the night. It stopped by a garbage can, unfortunately there were no mice to be found. Not even a cat for the poor mongoose to have.....

It was hard to find any food in this foul place. It smelled really bad and her nose couldn't take it. So she found a small garbage can and jumped into it. She dug around eagerly for food to satisfy her needs. She found part of a mouse and ate it hungrily. She found some old piece of bread and decided that it was better than nothing. She jumped out of the garbage can and her tail lashed back and forth. She turned into her dog self and then groomed her fur careful to get all the garbage off her. After she was pretty sure she was clean, she stood up and stretched tiredly. She walked around absentmindedly and then laid down in a spot she always slept or took a nap. She looked at the entrance to the Gas Station, she had never been in there before, and there was always this one sensation that told her she should go inside, she decided against it though. Who would go in there alone, yet at all?

A cold breeze blew by and she shivered, maybe she should change into her snow leopard form. So she did just that and she felt a bit warmer. Snow leopard's fur was made for the harsh cold winters, but she seemed to get cold easily just in her dog form. She curled up into a little ball and yawned. Maybe she should take a nap, that would be nice. She always hated sleeping when no one was around or when someone may be around but they might hurt her while she sleeps. She sighed and forced to keep her eyes open. She let out another yawn as the wind blew by...

The cool springtime drafts ruffled Dreamer's feathers delightfully as she swooped up ahead enjoying the sunlight dancing over her brown and white feathers. Sharp blue eyes gazed down at the world of wreckage below. Yes, Dreamer was a Siberian husky but right now she looked nothing of the sort. Now she appeared as an albino falcon. Her feathers were sleek and white with brown spots that grew larger as they cascaded down her body until it ended in a brown tail and wing tips. Now as she coasted over the gas station, Dream banked and circled. She was debating on landing for a bit to rest up in her dog form.

Soberian members always joked that their Shaman was half bird and birdbrained. They were half right. Dreamer had a tendency to be found on rooftops or other high places and often flew about in her bird forms, either as an albino falcon or a barn owl. Dream was said to be rather birdbrained at times, always with a dreamy gaze and a stare looking off into the distance.

Deciding to land, Dreamer dropped down into the roof of the building. When she hit the ground however, it wasn't a falcon's talons on the concrete but four dog paws. Dreamer shone ivory in the sunlight, sky blue orbs gazing down at the forgotten concrete lot below. There wouldn't be any herbs here that was for sure but perhaps a place to rest a bit? Dreamer yawned and bunched her muscles before leaping off the edge of the roof. She landed with the soft clicking claws on the concrete below, in front of the doors and gazing out at the forgotten gas pumps.

Looking around, Dream stretched, flexing her shoulders so the muscles could get used to no longer having wings attached. Dreamer sat back on her haunches in the sunlight, gazing up at the clear sky until the sound of a shuffling creature made her look up. "Hello?"

ARROW>head

Arrow hadn't noticed it, but she did end up dozing off. She her dream had ended up becoming a nightmare though. There was this huge dog chasing her around inside the Gas Station. She was about to be a goner too, there was her blood everywhere, and more dogs were coming. Soon she was surronded by hungry dogs, and she fought them and fought them with all her strength. One dog had attacked her from the back and was pinning her down. She whined and watched as the dog was lowering it's head to bite her neck. It was almost there....

Arrow jumped awake as she heard someone say hello. She quickly turned into her sheltie form and looked around confused. It always took her eyes awhile to get used to waking up. Then she turned towards the dog that had she had heard. Arrow groomed her fur embarrassed. She hoped she hadn't been there that long. She said in the best cheerful voice she could at the moment, "Hey there!".

Arrow's muscles were tense from the nightmare and her tail drooped too. She hoped the dog would understand that it wasn't her that she was acting so strange. She wrinkled her nose as she scented the gas again. She then decided she should say something, "My name's Arrow.." She looked at the ground a bit embarrassed. Would it be rude to ask what her name was? She decided not to worry about it and gave the other dog a warm smile.

Dreamer's icy blue gaze fell upon the dog as she presented herself as Arrow. Dream smiled pleasantly and wagged her curled husky tail as she padded toward the other. She didn't miss the sensation of tension and a faint flickering of fear. Dreamer was a gifted Shaman and dreams were where she walked. Her visions were usually unclear, bloodshed and terror but sometimes there was a little clue that told her what to do or who was fighting who. That was why Dreamer had become a Shaman apprentice in the first place after being found by the Soberians with no memory. Dreamer had a sensitivity to sleep and those that dreamed vividly.

The white she-dog smiled reassuringly to her, hoping she'd be able to tell Dreamer meant not harm to her. "My name is Dreamer" she barked, dipping her head slightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you Arrow." The white femmora sat back on her haunches a respectful distance from Arrow, gazing up at the clear blue sky overhead with an almost wistful expression. "Lovely day isn't it? Beautiful skies." Dreamer sighed wistfully and looked back at Arrow. "One shouldn't be wasting time sleeping when there is so much more that could be done."

Of course Dreamer didn't want to make it sound like she was scolding the other, simply trying to distract her from whatever sleeping vision had frightened her. That was Dream's typical tactic, distraction. It helped relax those she treated and it tended to work most of the time. She always tried to keep the best intentions in her mind when it came to others, regardless of their pack. So long as they weren't demons or hellhounds she was fine with just about anyone.

Arrow smiled happily at Dreamer and felt herself calm down. It was just a nightmare, wasn't real, calm down. She took deep breaths, I'm not a child, nightmares shouldn't effect me like this. She sighed, she'd soon get over it like other nightmares and dreams. She stood up and stretched her legs. Her eyes twinkled with some strength now, not enough for Dream to notice though. Stupid dreams, they just never seem to leave her alone, it must be the stench of the gas that bothers her as she sleeps and causes nightmares...maybe she just needs to find another spot to sleep...

Arrow barked happily, "Nice to meet you Dreamer." Her tail soon began to wag back and forth excitedly. Talking always seemed to get her mind off of problems. She groomed her long messy coat really quick and sat down, finally content with herself. She sniffed the air as Dreamer mentioned what a beautiful day it was. Besides the stench of gas, it seemed that it was a pretty nice day. Arrow nodded and said, "It is rather nice out." What Dreamer said next kind of made Arrow laugh. "Yeah, you're probably right, I've been pretty lazy these days. There's just so much to do and so little time!"

Arrow thought about what she could all do that seemed fun. All she usually did was hunt, sleep and wander around. Maybe Dreamer could help her think of something fun to do, she wondered if Dreamer was alright with that. She didn't want to bother Dreamer if she had other plans or anything. She shrugged and she knew if Dreamer was busy, then she could always think of something to do by herself, she was kind of used to it.

"It's good to have a balance" Dream barked, "work and play. Sadly I slack a little more then I should" Dreamer admitted, flicking her ears and looking ashamed though the expression was somewhat amusing on the white husky. "But no one will notice if I'm gone a little longer" Dream barked, brightening up a bit and wagging her tail lazily.

Of course Dreamer was well aware there wasn't much to explore in a gas station but who said they were limited? With no humans the city literally belonged to the dogs. Within reason they could roam wherever they wanted. Dreamer could take to the skies easily where no one but other bird-morphers would get her. Her new found companion, Arrow, was probably a land bound creature. Dream felt a little bad for her. In her mind, all dogs should have at least one bird form. There was nothing in the world quite like taking flight and feeling the wind under your wings and feeling like nothing could take you down. It was a wonderful thing in Dream's mind.

Rising to her paws, Dreamer stretched and whisked her tail up so it curled elegantly over her back where it wagged lazily from side to side. A rather goofy smile colored Dreamer's maw as she looked over at Arrow with her baby blue orbs. "How about it? Care to explore?"

Arrow nodded at Dreamer. Arrow was a big slacker, she kind of felt bad about it too. She usually wandered around, her tail down low and her nose in the air. She hasn't really wandered that far around the gas station though. It seemed like home to her. Arrow needed to go outside the box, yet, she didn't know if she had the guts. She sighed quietly and her tail wagged faster. She had an idea that could help her, would Dreamer be up to it though?

Arrow's grinned the best a dog could when she heard what Dreamer said next. "Of course! I'm all for adventure!" Her eyes lit up immediately and she even yowled happily. She said, "Sorry, I'm just really excited!" She wondered what they were going to do first. Would Dreamer want to do what to do what Arrow was thinking of? She might as well give it a try. She asked, a bit nervous though, "I have an idea, it may be risky though....do you wanna go inside the gas station?"

A flashback of Arrow's nightmare went through her head. She was alone in that nightmare though, Dreamer would hopefully be with her. She kept on thinking in her head, It's just a nightmare, nothing should go wrong if Dreamer's going to come, if she even agrees. If she doesn't agree, then I can just forget about the nightmare... Arrow wanted to go in the gas station really badly, bu the nightmare kept on coming back in her thoughts. She just decided she would see what Dreamer thought.

Dreamer smiled a little at the fae's enthusiasm at the idea of doing something other then lounging around in the sun though that was tempting. Really she probably shouldn't be spending the day with a stranger she didn't know but of course, Dream had always been a little outside the box on a lot of things. With her, you either loved her or you hated her. Some dogs thought she was annoying but nobody could deny she was good at what she did, which of course, since no one had yet asked she wouldn't tell. "Alright then" Dreamer barked brightly, wagging her tail and looking at Arrow with her slightly goofy smile. "Let's see if the humans just closed it up or locked it up."

Rising to her paws, Dreamer padded toward the door to the gas station store where humans had once bought junk food, sodas and other rather useless things while traveling in their smelly cars. Of course, no one had to worry about that anymore. The city had gone to the dogs, in quite a literal sense. Reaching the doors, Dreamer looked up at the handles of the doors and was surprised at how easy it would be to get in. All that barred their path was bright yellow caution tape with CAUTION in big bold letters on it. The tape was wrapped in a figure eight through the handles. Sure, that would keep humans out and most normal dogs but Dream, and other dogs, were far from normal.

"Just a second love and this'll be out of the way" Dreamer barked brightly.

Bunching her muscles, Dreamer leapt up in the air. Her limbs tucked in and her bones shifted, changing length, density and shape. Her body compressed and her muzzle shortened and sharpened. Her hind legs changed to taloned feet and her front legs formed wings. White feathers replaced white fur and brown dappled its way down her back and wings. Blue eyes turned brown and her vision sharpened to wonderful clarity and where Dreamer had stood hovered an albino falcon.

Flaring her wings, Dreamer flew up a few feet and circled twice before diving down. Pulling her wings back, Dream extended her knife-like talons and sliced through the caution tape before turning with a falcon's screech and landing smoothly on the lip of an old trash can outside the station. Folding her wings, Dreamer waited for Arrow to move ahead first, watching her with a falcon's sharp brown eyes.

Arrow walked slowly over to the gas station, a bit unsure now. She sniffed the door, it smelled old and rusty. Arrow wondered why she hadn't tried this before. She backed up a bit and pushed her weight against the door to open it. It made a weird creaking noise tha kind of hurt her ears, but it did open. She turned around to Dreamer, and said, "Well, here we go I guess."

Arrow's fur became white and fluffier, her tail longer. She soon turned into a snow leopard. She wrapped her tail around her paws and sat there, just staring in the gast station. She didn't know if she wanted to go first...what if something jumped out at here, that would be bad. She sighed as she took a couple steps closer.

She placed one foot in the gast station. She looked around at all the junk everywhere, it was just sickening. There was human stuff all over the place. She sighed and said, "Humans were such messy creatures, this isn't even funny." She sighed as she looked at all the stuff on the ground. It smelled like mold in there too.

Dreamer watched with interest as Arrow's shape changed. This change wasn't as dramatic as Dream's had been, she didn't sprout wings or feathers but instead became more feline and her fur paled and thickened. When the other she-dog hesitated to go into the gas station, Dreamer spread her brown-dappled wings and lifted off, coasting through the doors. Swooping up toward the ceiling, Dreamer circled. All in all the place was dark, rather small and very much a mess. With her keen hawk eyes Dreamer could see just how much of a mess. Rats and mice had taken to living in this place and for half a second Dream contemplated hunting only to scold herself mentally. Why settle for rats when there were other, better things to hunt? Not to mention the diseases those things carried. The thought made her cringe.

Hearing Arrow's words about the mess, Dreamer laughed and angled her wings, coasting down to the snow leopard. "Actually I find it quite funny" Dream commented lightly, lighting down on a rack that had once held sunglasses. "Not much to explore in here though unless you're up for a rat hunting contest." Preening her chest feathers with her sharp beak, Dreamer shifted her wings a bit. Looking over at Arrow, Dreamer sighed mentally. This dog was obviously uncomfortable here. Why? Dreamer wasn't sure. Obviously not many dogs had come in here so perhaps it was bad memories from being around this place? Dreamer sometimes dreamed that she was falling, then gliding, surrounded by the smell of blood and bone until she hit something hard and the dream ended. Perhaps being near this place was a memory trigger for her?
